I'm Sheila Christensen - a passionate Quilter, Teacher, Author and Quilt Designer.
I have been teaching patchwork and quilting since 2011, and have helped hundreds of people into this amazing hobby
Now I have developed my comprehensive Patchwork and Quilting Techniques class into a three term online course, backed up with weekly Zoom meet ups and where you will be able to keep all of your lesson videos even after the class is complete.
NEXT COURSE STARTS NOVEMBER 2023
The course is currently closed for new students, but I will be running it again very soon. You can join the waitlist by completing the form below, and you will secure your position in the queue for the next class.
It's a great way to learn in today's full-on world, do keep on reading and I hope you will join me on this special journey,
"Wow, that's so beautiful, I couldn't do that!"
So many times I have heard those words from students, and six months later they have created their own patchwork masterpiece and are ready to gift it to someone special, use it to keep warm on the couch, or put it in pride of place on their bed.
So my answer to that is
'Yes you can!'
I will help you one step at a time in my comprehensive course that covers everything from choosing fabrics that suit your taste to finishing the binding with a flourish.
This comprehensive course is the first step for new quilters to start this amazing hobby, and also for experienced quilters who wanted to improve their skills or try things they had never done before.
I have been teaching Patchwork and Quilting since 2011, and over the years I have helped hundreds of people just like you join the wonderful community of quilters worldwide.
Quilters really are a special bunch - wherever you may be in the world you are likely to find a friendly group of like-minded people who love this hobby, get together to sew, make charity quilts, and generally enjoy each others' company.
However, it's sometimes hard to join a group of people who all seem to know what they are doing, and if you're like me, you often appreciate learning things on your own first to give you some confidence.
Maybe you have been quilting for a while (or years!), but you are always a little bit disappointed with your results, or you want to try some new techniques that seem a little scary.
I know how hard it is to make room for this passion in your life - to get out to a class with all of your equipment and to find time to complete 'homework' in between, especially if you have questions or problems between classes.
To help you develop your quilting expertise in today's busy world, I have developed this course so you can access it however it suits YOU and fits into YOUR life. With online access to the lessons at any time, backed up with weekly Zoom meetings to keep you on track, I know you will be able to achieve success.
I do hope you will join me for the Patchwork and Quilting Techniques course, I look forward to seeing you there,

"Her videos are amazingly clear, concise and helpful when I need them. Her written material and the step-by-step guides to each of the individual pieces is meticulous, and I never had to second-guess what she presented. I totally recommend her classes, the great variation of products that she presents, and simply love her enthusiasm."
